Testimonials

Harrod & Assoc. Constructors helps people like you construct exceptional commercial buildings.

Brad Honeycutt, Paster/ CFO
Living Word Family Church

Living Word Family Church, Inc. has had the opportunity to work with Harrod & Associates Constructors on a few occasions. It was great to work with Ed Long, as he is highly skilled, attentive to detail and responds with urgency. I will recommend to fellow executive team members to utilize their service for future projects. Our last remodel was quite the task as we demolished the exterior of our building, extended and added a new aesthetic, all while maintaining our office hours, weekly events and Sunday services. Their staff not only helped us keep our doors open while the project was underway, but helped us execute a plan which accommodated everyone's schedules. Because of the nature of our remodel, there were multiple unforeseen changes that the Harrod team worked quickly to rectify which allowed our deadlines to be met while continuing to move forward on the project.

The congregation of Living Word Family Church and our community are happily using the new facilities and spaces created by Harrod and team. I would highly recommend Harrod & Associates Constructors for any of our future projects of ours as well as to any other entity seeking such services. Feel free to contact me if you need any further information regarding this recommendation.

Feedback from

our clients

J. Paul Young, Vice President
DTW Architects & Planners, Ltd.

DTW Architects & Planners, Ltd has had the pleasure of working with Harrod and Associates Constructors on multiple construction projects for city, county, and state government agencies and would recommend them for future jobs of this type. Our firm has known the company both professionally and personally for many years and have worked with them to complete many publicly bid projects. They are highly skilled in project management and coordination and produce a well crafted and constructed building. Harrod is able to adapt and flow with a changing situation which is important in today’s economic climate. As an architect it is not often that you get to work with a contractor on a bid job that you feel is watching out for more than their bottom line, but Harrod is such a contractor. They understand the dynamics of the owner-architect-general contractor relationship and strive to meet all the goals, but most of all Harrod takes a pride in the buildings they build, and that is reflected in their people and their work.

Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc.

Harrod and Assoc. Constructors did a great job with the up fit of our building. Although the project was phased out, Jaime did an excellent job working around the staff who were very appreciative of his willingness to accommodate them. He went above and beyond with the additional finishes, even painting and changing ceiling tiles and grid outside of the contract. We are very satisfied with the work that has been done.

Dewberry re: Enloe High School

Keith & Ed, Wanted to send you a note and let you know that Charles and Kevin have done a great job on the Enloe High Window Replacement project for me. Three years, multiple crews with multiple subs due to multiple summers, and many issues thrown our way, but they handled them well and WCPSS is happy with the end product. Looking forward to working with them again in the future. Thanks for your help.

Kermit Chapman, Utility Support Superintendent
City of Raleigh

The purpose of this letter is to recommend Harrod and Associates Constructors, Inc. as a general contractor in good standing with City of Raleigh Public Utilities. The aforementioned contractor performed in a manner consistent with honesty and quality craftsmanship. Additionally, their level of customer service was superb both during the project and on a subsequent callback.

The project involving the Public Utilities Operation Center was an extensive remodeling job covering three different sites across Wake County. As in the case with large remodeling projects, the reality on the ground often becomes “fluid” and complex compared to what exist on a drawing. Ed Long, Harrod’s project coordinator was the epitome of patience and reason throughout numerous changes mandated by myself. To this day, well over a year after completion, Mr. Long and his company continue to be a valuable business partner.

It is without reservation that I recommend both Harrod and Associates, and Ed Long as a General Contractor of choice.

Eric Staehle, Senior Facilities Project Manager
Wake County Government

Hi guys. I was at a site meeting the other day over at the Multi-Material area discussing a new project. A customer drove by and stopped by our group and rolled down his window and yelled out “This place is awesome !!”. I continue to get very positive feedback about this facility; both the site and the buildings. Just thought I would share. (Reggie can vouch for this comment).

David Ennis, Upper School Principal
St. David's School

It is my distinct pleasure to recommend Harrod & Associates Constructors as a Design-Builder. Harrod & Associates has recently finished an estimated 54,000 square foot facilities improvement project, with an additional 24,000 square foot parking deck, at St. David’s School to our complete satisfaction. St. David’s is an independent K-12 school in Raleigh, NC with an approximate enrollment of 600 students. The scope of our facilities improvement project included the construction of the following buildings on our 14.6-acre campus: gymnasium, locker rooms, athletic offices, fine arts theatre, concessions area, student commons area, dining hall, welcome center, band and choral classrooms, music practice rooms, and several flexible space areas which we are currently using as classrooms. This project began in June of 2008 and was completed in April of 2010. In my capacity as Upper School Principal for St. David’s, I also served a dual role as Project Manager for the construction of these buildings and worked closely with Harrod & Associates on behalf of the school.

The scheduling of this project was challenging and quite complex. It is important to note that during the twenty-two month span of this construction project, our school was in session for eighteen of those months; the remaining four months were during the summer. It is a testament to Harrod & Associates’ commitment to maintaining a strict schedule that this project was completed without interruption to the school calendar and with minimal disruption to the daily operations of the school. Harrod & Associates understood the potential conflicts between both the school and construction calendars and willingly worked within our timeframe to accommodate the school’s needs.

The quality of construction exceeded our expectation for this project. Harrod & Associates paid particular attention to the details of the project, working thoroughly on all areas of construction and reacting well to changes in plans and modifications to the design. They accommodated the school’s special requests with ease and provided a quick response and resolution to any area of concern. Thanks to their diligence in completing quality work, the amount of punch list items at the end of the project was kept to a minimum. We are very pleased that the overall project was completed on time and within budget expectations.

Throughout my working relationship with Keith Harrod, Ed Long, Dave Geesey, and the entire Harrod & Associates team, I was impressed by their dedication to completing this project with professionalism, character, and integrity. It is clear that operating with such professionalism is a business model adopted by all Harrod & Associates team members.

Thanks to the conscientious team at Harrod & Associates, the St. David’s School community is thrilled to enjoy these new facilities. I would highly recommend Harrod & Associates without hesitation for any future construction project. Feel free to contact me if you need any further information regarding this recommendation.
